What the site does

The site answers a practical question: which casino can you get to right now? The planner on the home page shows which ones are open, whether their tables are running and how far each one is from your part of town.

Around it sit short guides to each casino. Other pages cover common plans, such as a late night, a first visit or the trip there and back.

We don't take bets, hold accounts or handle payments. Links to the casinos' official sites are not paid. The site earns money from one link marked Ad on the home page, and How we make money explains it.

The eight casinos

Each one has a short guide with its hours, the way there and what is nearby.

Erin Calder
Writes and checks Edmonton Casino Guide

Edmonton Casino Guide is written under the pen name Erin Calder. The woman in the pictures is a character made for the guide, and the pictures are AI-generated images, not photographs of a real person.

On the site, Erin writes and checks every page and answers for every fact on it. Her page explains how she checks the hours and addresses.

Photo credits

Photos of the casinos and the city are real photographs with free licences that allow commercial use. Each one carries its author's name. We don't take photos from casino websites or from other people's articles.

Some casinos have no freely licensed photo at all. Their guides show the surrounding area or Erin, the guide's character, instead. A generated picture never stands in for a real building: the pictures of Erin are generated and show no real venue.
