Live table hours at Edmonton casinos

At six casinos around Edmonton, live tables keep shorter hours than the slots. Check the table hours before you head out, not at the door.

Tables open later than slots

Grand Villa, Starlight, River Cree and both PURE casinos keep separate hours for live table games. All five stop dealing at 3 a.m.

CasinoSlotsLive tables
Grand Villa12 p.m. to 3 a.m.2 p.m. to 3 a.m.
PURE Edmonton24 hours10 a.m. to 3 a.m.
PURE Yellowhead24 hours10 a.m. to 3 a.m.
Starlight24 hours11 a.m. to 3 a.m.
River Cree24 hours11 a.m. to 3 a.m.

So a lunchtime game works at PURE, Starlight or River Cree, but Grand Villa's tables wait until 2 p.m. Holiday hours can differ, so check the casino's own site before a holiday visit.

The other three casinos

  • Century Edmonton: open 9:30 a.m. to 4 a.m. from Monday to Thursday, and 24 hours from Friday to Sunday.
  • Century St. Albert: open 9:30 a.m. to 3 a.m. from Sunday to Thursday, and until 4 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Live tables run 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. from Sunday to Thursday, and 12 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. It had 10 tables at the end of 2025.
  • Century Mile: no live dealers. Its roulette, baccarat and blackjack are electronic, in a room called the Replay Arena.

Century Edmonton publishes no separate table hours, so its hours above are casino hours, not table hours. Counting on a live table late at night? Phone first: Century Edmonton at 780-643-4000, Century St. Albert at 780-460-8092.

Century Mile is licensed as a racing entertainment centre rather than a casino. Its 2021 request to add live tables was turned down.

    What's on the tables

    • PURE Edmonton: blackjack, including Free Bet and Double Down Madness. The floor also deals craps, roulette and baccarat, plus poker-style games such as Face Up Pai Gow, Four Card Poker and Three Card Poker Temptation. A renovated high-limit room has private baccarat.
    • PURE Yellowhead: craps, roulette, EZ Baccarat, Bad Beat Baccarat, Free Bet Blackjack and Pai Gow, among others. A separate high-limit room has private tables with hosts.
    • Starlight: blackjack, including Free Bet, plus roulette, EZ and Ruyi Baccarat and Three Card Poker Temptation. Craps runs on Friday and Saturday from 3 p.m.
    • River Cree: Most of the gaming is on a smoke-free main floor. Embers, by the north entrance, is a smoke-friendly area with 14 table games of its own.

If you are going for one particular game, phone the casino to check it is running that night.

    Poker rooms

    • PURE Edmonton: open 24 hours, with 12 tables. It runs Texas Hold'em and Omaha as limit, no-limit and tournament games.
    • PURE Yellowhead: open 24 hours. It runs No Limit Hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha, and hosts Pure Poker Tour events.

    Before you sit down

    • Bring valid government-issued photo ID. The legal age in Alberta is 18, and staff check anyone who appears to be under 25. Our first-visit guide covers what happens at the door.
    • Every casino has a GameSense Info Centre with information on how the games work and what the odds are. GameSense advisors are also on site.
    • Decide what you can afford to lose before you leave home, and stop when it is gone.
    • If gambling stops being fun, the Addiction Helpline (Recovery Alberta) is free and open 24/7 at 1-866-332-2322. More help is on our responsible gambling page.
